Antichrist has assembled the armies of the world in the Valley of Megiddo for
what he believes will be his ultimate triumph of the ages. With a victory here
he would ascend to the throne of God.
The Tribulation Force has migrated to the Middle East, most
ensconced at Petra with the Jewish Remnant, now more than a million strong. But
only one of the four original members of the Force remains alive, and he is near
death.
Jerusalem is falling to the Global Community's Unity Army, and
Tsion ben-Judah has been slain. Few in Petra know of his loss, and both Rayford
Steele and Buck Williams are unaccounted for.
It's been just over seven years since the Rapture and almost
exactly seven years since Antichrist's covenant with Israel. Believers look to
the heavens for the Glorious Appearing of Christ, as the world stands on the
brink of the end of time.

Mac McCullum scanned the
Petra perimeter with
high-powered field
glasses.
Rayford should have
reached him by now.
Macs watch showed 1300
hoursone in the
afternoon, Carpathia
Time. It had to be more
than a hundred degrees
Fahrenheit. Sweat ran
down his neck from the
grayish red hair peeking
out from under his cap,
soaking his shirt. Mac
detected not even a wisp
of wind and wondered
what his freckled,
leathery face would look
like in a few days.
Without taking his eyes
from the lenses, Mac
unholstered his phone
and punched in the
connection to Chang Wong
in the computer center.
Wheres Ray?
I was about to ask
you, Chang said. He
left here forty-five
minutes ago, and no one
else has seen him
either.
What do we hear from
Buck?
Mac noticed the
hesitation.
Nothing new.
Since when?
Uh, Rayford heard from
him late this morning.
And?
Another beat.
Nothing to speak of.
Whatre you sayin,
Chang?
Nothing.
I gathered. Whats
wrong?
Nothing that wont be
cured in a little
I dont need
double-talk, buddy. Mac
continued surveying the
rocky slopes, feeling
his pulse quicken
despite his years and
experience. If you
wont tell me, Ill call
him myself.
Buck?
Well, who else?
Ive tried. My sensor
shows his phone
inoperable.
Turned off?
Unlikely, Mr. McCullum.
Well, I should guess
so. Malfunctioning?
Damaged?
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life..... 1 John 5:20
