Scriptures Tell Us to Mind Our Minds
The Bible tells us to
think about what were thinking to protect us from evil and to keep
focused on God.
In Philippians 4:8,
Paul encourages us to think about whatever is true, noble, right,
pure, lovely, and admirable; he says to think on anything excellent
or praiseworthy to help focus our minds toward God. Otherwise, our
minds will be on earthly things, with our stomach our god and shame
our glory.
In Romans 12:2, Paul
warns us not to be conformed any longer to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (NIV).
Jesus cautions us in
Matthew 5:28 to beware that even what we look at can cause us to
sin, and He encourages us in Matthew 5:8 that the pure in heart will
see God. In Proverbs 4:23, the Bible tells us to, above all else,
guard our heart, for its the wellspring of life.
Christian resources
teach truths, build values, encourage faith, and shape lives.
The What Goes Into
the Mind Comes Out in a Life saying admonishes us to feed our
minds with the fuel of Gods Word and will. It also highlights the
uniqueness of what Christian stores offer.
Christian retailers
see their work as supporting Christs kingdom by providing books,
music, videos, Bibles, gifts, and more as tools to help Christians
lead the good life, to fight the good fight, and run the race in
such a way as to win the prizethe prize of presence today in Gods
kingdom. Christian retailers also want to help seekers learn more
about the God of love and His plan for each of their lives. Because
Christian retailers pray, many people looking for God have found Him
in a Christian store.
What Goes Into the
Mind Comes Out in a Life is much more than just a slogan. Its a
way of life. We firmly believe that what we read, listen to, and
look at impact the way we live our livesand the lives of those
around us.
